RSPCA reports 25% increase in pets being abandoned as people struggle with cost of living

The RSPCA has said the number of abandoned pets in England and Wales has gone up by 25% compared to the previous year.<br /><br />The charity said Covid and cost of living fears means fewer people are considering taking on an animal, with the number of rehired pets down by 10% year on year.<br /><br />The RSPCA is now looking for people to consider fostering a pet for a short period to help with the increased demand on rescue centres.
